<image:caption>In 2005, Deborah became the host of Get Smart Radio - a monthly podcast, produced in front of a live audience in San Francisco. She interviewed two complimentary (not contrary) guests on a specific topic, and created a lively interactive event that became a favorite for the ever insatiable NPR crowd of SF. Upon relocating to Los Angeles, Deborah produced more shows, and also has turned her focus to teaching the art of interviewing to students as an after-school program. <image:caption>Show & Tell taps a never ending source for story. Nothing contrived or rehearsed. You don't have to be clever or funny. You just have to be curious. The rest flows. People are generally quirky and worthy of at least 5 minutes of each other's attention. You need to come to one to experience one.... Here are some details!</image:caption>

<image:title>Projects Gallery - A Handbook for Heartbreak</image:title>
<image:caption>Deborah wrote this book in collaboration with Dr. Caron Post. It's written as a handbook, for eyes that may be too swollen from crying to even see. It's short enough to be read in one sitting but deep enough to serve as a reference for a lifetime. Heartbreaks big and small are re-percussive - they re-surface again and again. Having this handbook on the shelf seems right for most of us. You can purchase a copy at Amazon .</image:caption>

<image:caption>Founded by Deborah, Artists for Literacy is a non-profit that serves the needs of adolescent and adult literacy programs in California. She has leveraged the power of art to inspire awareness of the issue of illiteracy, and has galvanized the participation of artists, readers, authors, teachers, students and the media. Her work has been covered by the New York Times, NPR, Billboard Magazine, RollingStone, and the BBC. In 2015, she expanded the organization to include LitRemix - The Literature Remix Project. Her goal is to build the world's first interactive platform of art inspired by literature. Songs, movies, performance and visual art inspired by books will be aggregated and curated for the first time in one place. Start to explore the legacy of AFL.</image:caption>

<image:caption>In 2013, Deborah formed the Cool the World Choir in Santa Monica - to raise up the voices of children who stand to lose the most if we don't cool the world down. 22 students volunteered their time to learn the song ("Cool the World" written by Deborah) , participate in a professional recording and filming project, and perform the song live at several milestone events. A shout out to students all over the country mobilized other individuals & schools to record the song, bringing their own talents and perspectives to the project. <image:caption>Show & Tell Network was created by Deborah Pardes in 2006. It has held events in New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Show & Tell is produced in private homes, engaging adults ages 18 and up to share objects as stories. Each participant has up to 5 minutes to tell a personal story about an object they are holding in their hands. Although Show & Tell is a child's activity in schools, this adult version connects communities through storytelling that celebrates diversity, travel, family and inter-generational sharing. It captures the whole range of human experiences.</image:caption>

<image:title>showtell - Show & Tell Network</image:title>
<image:caption>Show & Tell Network was created by Deborah Pardes in 2006. It has held events in New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Show & Tell is produced in private homes, engaging adults ages 18 and up to share objects as stories. Each participant has up to 5 minutes to tell a personal story about an object they are holding in their hands. Although Show & Tell is a child's activity in schools, this adult version connects communities through storytelling that celebrates diversity, travel, family and inter-generational sharing. It captures the whole range of human experiences.</image:caption>
